The internationally operating (snow) board brand Protest is designed, developed and sold in 46 countries in and around Europe by Olifanta Dekker BV at headquarters and logistics center of 12,000 m2 in Warmond (near Leiden), Netherlands with more than 100 employees. Protest was established in 1993 by a group of fanatical snowboarders, with the aim to design high-tech board wear at an affordable price. Protest distinguishes itself by having design led product at an excellent price/quality ratio and a focus on engineering materials and details.

The mission of Protest is "to help everyone ride more". Its aim is to put the next five years to double its turnover. In the UK, Protest was re-launched in 2009 and has in the last 3 years established itself as a key player in the board-sports market supplying 115 accounts with over 450 doors across the UK. As part of the brand expansion, Protest will open it’s first outlet store in the UK in April 2012 located in Royal Quays centre in North Shields. We are looking for experienced retail staff with a passion for board-sports to work in our exctiting new store.

Store Manager

Your responsibilities include:
• Lead the sales team
• Optimize the presentation of the collection in the shop
• Provide a good presentation of the brand Protest in the shop
• Achieving pre-set commercial objectives
• Responsible for managing the cash
• Providing a clear and strong communications to headquarters
• Responsible for opening and closing the store
• Responsible for compliance with all safety procedures and measures
• Sales of clothing and advising customers

We ask:
- At least 2-3 years relevant work experience
- Excellent sales skills
- GCSE and A Level working and thinking
- Good communication skills
- Customer focused and service oriented
- Creative and flexible
- No nine to five mentality
- Affinity for board sports

We offer:

- A full-time employment (40 hours per week)
- The salary depends on your age and experience

Supervisor

In the absence of the Store Manager you are the contact person at the branch and need to make sure that all work duties are completed. You must also be sales orientate with the ability to be customer driven in a retail environment.

Your responsibilities include:
• Co-lead the sales team
• Co-optimize the presentation of the collection in the shop
• Provide a good presentation of the brand Protest in the shop
• Achieving pre-set commercial objectives
• Responsible for managing the cash
• Providing a clear and strong communications to headquarters
• Responsible for opening and closing the store
• Responsible for compliance with all safety procedures and measures
• Sales of clothing and advising customers

We ask:

Sales assistants

You must be sales orientate with the ability to be customer driven in a retail environment.

Your responsibilities include:
• Complying with the sales policy as determined by the Store Manager
• Ensure a neat and clean working environment
• Ensure a customer friendly atmosphere where consumers effectively be helped and advised
• Optimizing the sales results
• Adherence to all tasks and activities assigned by the Store Manager insofar as they contribute to improving the functioning of the sales team and business results in the shop
• Dissemination of the Protest lifestyle
